Board Cookies?

I use Firefox and recently deleted some cookies. When you do this with Firefox, it blocks those cookies from being set in the future.

Since I've done this clean up, I am no longer able to see which threads in the Palm Infocenter forums have new posts since my last visit. Is there any chance someone could tell me which cookie(s) is/are responsible for this so I can get it/them out of my blocked list?

I rarely ever see the new thread feature in Firefox. Not sure what the cause is. I normally don't delete cookies.

This used to be my experience too, but I have been seeing new threads marked in that latest versions, and I have an installation on a laptop that behaves correctly. (I'm using FF 2.0)

Can't you re-enable cookies for the palminfocenter.com domain?

The site and forums require cookies in order for the login functionality to work properly.

While not a solution you can view new posts by the time, such as new posts in the last 6 hours from the forum homepage.

I checked to be sure, but palminfocenter.com cookies are enabled. No cookies with palminfocenter in their names are in the exclude list either. Weird. The new posts show correctly in IE and in one of three Firefox installations. But on two Firefox installations, forums with new threads aren't marked.

Post dates are brute force alternative, and not a very good one when I don't visit everyday.

If I refrain from logging in on the Palm Infocenter main page (or log off if I am already logged on) and only login on the Forums page, threads with new posts work correctly in Firefox 2.0. Fx remembers my login to the forums and doesn't seem to transfer it to the main page, so this works pretty well.

I discovered this with an earlier version of Firefox, and I posted the observation here. I don't know why I didn't remember that when I lost the ability to have new posts marked. I post this again because I hope this works for others too. Without having threads marked as having new posts since my last visit, the forums are much less convenient to use.
