FWIW, I use IE6 at work, and things are working just fine. I use Mozilla 1..7.3 here at home and new posts don't show up. I'm logged in, but the new post indicators don't function. Nothing I can do or think of works. I hope you can get this fixed someday!

 Me too
To add one more report to the pile, I had pretty much given up on the forums (I'm mainly a lurker) because new posts were never marked upon return after the site update. But I had switched to Firefox at about the same time. I see now that things work right for me with Internet Explorer, but not with Firefox.

Here's an interesting thought: What version of Firefox is everyone using? Currently I am running 1.0, but the day of the forum change I was still using 0.9.2 (Forum change= Sept. 13, Firefox 1.0= Sept. 14. Now I don't remember if there were still any problems back then. What we need is someone who has Firefox working correctly to tell us 1. what version, 2. what extensions they are using, and 3. if they logged into the forums before the switch (this used to cause me problems until I tinkered a bit).
This comes to mind since after I updated eBay won't automatically redirect after logging in for me. Of course, I didn't use it that much until about two weeks ago. But still, it can't all be coincidence.
Edited to fix spelling and add dates.
Edit 2: New little oddity: I closed the tab with PIC Forum in it, logged in. I have two FF windows open (don't ask why) and, unknowingly, used the other to come back here. It showed me as not logged in and I realized that it was the wrong window. So I tried the original one and it still didn't show me logged in. So I did the usual routine (press login, then it says I'm already logged in, and I go back to the forum) and the forums that were highlighted before were still highlighted. You know, when your logged in and refresh the index it shows new posts since you (supposedly) logged in. It had the last login time correct and everything. That is odd...

I've discovered that this function only works for me when I log on to PIC at school. When I click \"View posts since your last visit\", it actually works for me at school; however, it does not at my home and it's annoying as crap!
I'm typing this from school now, if that helps anything.

All right, after I reformatted my computer and reinstalled Firefox 1.0PR, the second time I visited the site it still didn't show me as logged in. After I pushed login and then back to the forum, I saw all the new posts! The times were correct of when I had been here last! I'll keep you updated.

Well, it worked the third time too, but after that it went back to its old self. Darn.

Using Mozilla here - I find that if I log out before I leave and then log back in when I return, the new posts show up; otherwise, they don't.

Yeah, that would work, but I want it back to the old way where you're already logged in. I hate logging into things, I always set to automatic if I can.

I'm with you; however, until it's fixed, I'd rather take a few minutes to log off & back on again than to hunt around the forums for which posts I haven't seen.

Whoa, Anthony... Ryan's aware of the bug and he's working on it, as he's told us. It will be fixed when it's fixed. Not like someone's throwing bundles of money at him to sort the problem (you have been clicking those banner ads regularly though?).

I know, but I don't want it forgotten either. I am merely bumping it to the top, so as to illustrate that it is still a source of frustration for many, if not all, at some time or another.
It is not that I feel ryan is not working on it, just want to show my feeling that at this point, THIS is the most glaring bug on the forums, and in my opinion (even if that is all it is) deserves more time than the others that are discussed.

I'm trying to sort it out but I don't know php that well yet, which makes the problem a bit hard to understand. If there are any php / phpbb expert coders out there that may want to take a look?
