Boxwave miniSync + Palm T|X Help Needed

Hi all,

I just got my miniSync cable. Unfortunately, the way it's working means No Sync. Although yes, when the HotSync cable is plugged in, my Palm T|X will charge but will not sync nor can I mount SD cards via either CardExport or Missing Sync. I've tried rebooting my Palm (yeah, yeah, Soft Reset). I've tried plugging the miniSync in each of my Mac's two USB ports. I've even made certain that USB synching is enabled in Missing Sync for the Mac (v6.0.4) but, in every case, I get the same results--no Hotsync and no card mounts.

I'm willing to venture I got a part of a bad batch or maybe, 'twas damaged through the mail (Newman!) or maybe there's a better alternative than Boxwave's product. Please advise.
