My choice would be the TX. Simpler and more reliable, with plenty of memory and WiFi.

It would be a TX modded to have a vibrating alert, voice record and charge light.

In other words, it would be the TX owned by Dmitry Grinberg.

Actually, I'm not sure if he's done the charge light mod, but I thought I remembered a comment he made that it should be easy to do...or I could just be imagining that. I'll settle for his vibe/voice modded TX.

Definatly that. I aslo would love to have 400mhz processor and I wouldn't mind having the case a little thicker for better battery life. 1gb of flash would be plenty!

Palm TX running windows xp/vista

- 300 gb hard drive
- 1 gb memory
- 512 mb video card
- technology to make the screen look like a 7 to 12 incher to the eye (without wearing funny glasses... just hit a button).
- Virtual keyboard that launches on a desk in front of the tx.

And a bunch of other stuff... yes, that would be my ultimate \"Palm\" machine... This is what palm is currently working to launch....

Now, if I can't have all this, I'll take a regular TX.

i would like the zire 71 for the slider, a 5mp camera, 1TB harddrive. some satalite internet built into the palm for like mobile internet. internal wifi and bluetooth. 1 week battery life at full screen brighness. 500mhz processor.

PPC AND Palm OS, an internal microphone at the bottom and a speaker at the top for cell phone applications, a internal microphone at the top for voice memo's. and the speaker at the bottom for playing music.

vibrating and charge light. it will be red when u have low batery, yellow when u have some battery and green when fully charged.

fm and am radio.

a FM transmitter built in.

of course, softick's card export II, i would carry a retractable sync cable in my pocket, and noviimedia remote deluxe.

my pda would also act as somewhat of a...er...idk

but other people could connect (pda or laptop or comp) via wifi and bluetooth to my pda for itnernet and hotsyncing, i got a TB hdd, what do i care if someone stores files on my pda. of course 480 x 320 screen, or would it be 320 x 480. screw the grafitti 2 area.

Since I now own the Treo 650, which is close to what I want, I guess the next choice would be a Tungsten T3 with Veo camera.

Dmity's TX is real. Other mods can be. The future, as Mrs. Roosevelt was wont to remind us, belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

I want a TX clamshell with Zodiac style gfx chip.

Dmitry's is real. Absent having his TX, I'll take a regular stock TX.

Hmmm...although a Treo might not be a bad choice either.

Ditto.

If I were to add a little dream, though, I'd want a removable/changeable battery as well.

Now that might actually get me to consider a converged device...

Until then, I stand by my earlier post.

Post Which Palm? For real...
TX - it has all the light, handy features of the original Palm but with the WiFi. Yes, I miss the voice recorder, and the vibrating alarm, but for all around use, I am amazed with how much I can get done with the TX. (People I know who use a Life Drive complain that compared to their earlier Palms, they are too slow and heavy.)

That's my opinion but I've been using Palms since the original issue and this is my fifth. I was going to get a Life Drive or Treo but after using the TX I am hooked.
