What I have feared has now taken place: I must learn to use and read a wiki?!

I think I should go back to Walking the Earth...

I was checking out the Nokia site to see if they had posted anything new about the availability of the 770 and as a matter of course I clicked on \"Spotlight\":

http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,75030,00.html

This marketing material looks new to me. Very targeted as to the audience for this and successor tablets. Perhaps I just missed it when it came out . . .

No 770 news yet, but I've just been introduced to TETRA, via Nokia getting a contract and having the first TETRA terminal for sale...

TETRA site --

I think this also illustrates how broad Nokia's business is.

You pocket loving person. I am still waiting for the day I don't have to carry lots of heavy books in my backpack at college. I can't get the \"couch browsing\" site to work.

I already have a pda, laptop, and desktop computer. I want a Motion sized device that is around $500 or less. That day still hasn't come.

Oh and thanks for the mentions on your blog.
:D

$350 Tablet for \"Couch Browsing\" over WiFi

From a new article at LaserPage.com

Nokia announced a non-phone device that connects to you 802.11 wireless network.

Positioned somewhere between a iPod and a pda.. on sale this fall

It is supposed to do all these functions

Web Browser
Flash Player version 6
Email Client
Internet Radio
News Reader
Media players, Image viewer
PDF viewer
File Manager
Search
Calculator
World Clock
Notes
Sketch
Games

For more info on the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. Look at the Nokia web site. They have pages of info on the operating system, why you should use an Internet Tablet, and why the Nokia 770 might be your tablet of choice for couch browsing

I don't see what's funny. PalmOS *is* dead. All we're left with is Infinite Garnet! PalmSource has stolen the OS and ditched PDAs for illusory smartphones (like they have a chance against Nokia?!!?).

The 770 comes at a perfect time. I expect *tons* of Palm users to switch to it. People like me who will *never* go to PPC, because we've tried it and found it to be a piece of crap.
