I have a Bluetooth Serial Adapter (an LM058 Bluetooth RS-232 adapter)
which can be discovered by my Palm and PC and I can also connect to the serial port of the adapter via HyperTerminal on COM 1. I can perform a discovery through HyperTerminal which lists the first 8 devices to
respond and I can pair up with this adapter from my Palm TX.
However when I try to discover this Bluetooth adapter through the Palm
Simulator it tells me there is no Bluetooth device? I have tried both
the Palm OS 5 (Garnet) Simulator and the Palm OS 6 (Cobalt) Simulator,
but both say \"No Bluetooth accessory was found\". If I run the debug
version of the OS6 Simulator I get slightly more information
\"HCISerialModule: HCI Transport error bad packet type from radio\". I
have told both Simulators that the Cradle is on COM1 as I assume that
this is the port I should specify seeing as this is how I can connect to
the adapter from HyperTerminal, but still no joy.
It has been pointed out to me that maybe I am complicating things to much! As \"all\" I want to do is to debug serial comms then why go to the grief of trying to get Bluetooth working in the Simulator (when it may or may not be possible depending on who you listen to) when I can just plug a serial cable into my PC and debug that way through the Simulator. So I will give that a go.
