Graffiti 1 does work on the Palm TX
I can now confirm that the TX can use Igor's modified graffiti 1 libraries to enable classic graffiti.
Download the drivers here:
http://yahm.palmoid.com/G14OS54.zip
install and reset, and back to G1.

Ryan;
Any quirks or major bugs regarding G1 on the TX? Same performance as using the Igor libraries on the T5/Treo 650?
Any change in your opinion of of the TX since posting your review?

A test:
- Start Blazer.
- Go to a web page with a form.
- Start entering text in to a field. Enter more text than can be displayed in the field.
At this point, Blazer is suppose to open a dialog box to allow you to enter more text. On my LD with the G1 lib above, it crashes.

On my T3 running G1 on Webpro 3.5 I do not have this problem.
Port Webpro 3.5 to the TX?

I'm willing to forgive things like this, as long as general G1 text entry is usable for most things, like email and PIM functions.

 Install both files?
Seeing as there are no real instructions, do I only need to install \"Graffiti Library_enUS.prc\" since it's a US Palm, or are both files needed on the install? Also, is it easy to remove the hack if I want? Thanks!

To install:
Yes you need both files. One cannot Hotsync them directly to internal memory. One can Hotsync them to a SD card and then use Filez to move them to internal memory. Soft reset.
To uninstall:
Use Filez to find these two files. Change their Creator to some thing other than 'grft', say 'XXXX'. Soft reset. Use FileZ to delete these files.

Arson,
Just read the other posts above; start at the beginning. You'll need an SD card to do it.

Transferring them over via bluetooth one at a time works as well.

So I have to install FileZ? Remember, I am coming from Palm V land. I get copying the files to a SD card, then what? Am I going to run into the problem with blazer described above?

Awesome! Gonna try this on my 650!

Yes, install FileZ. It's free anyway.
After you have copied the G1 library files to your SD card, just follow Potter's instructions above.
I have no idea what potential problems exist, but I can say that I wouldn't hesitate to try to use this solution. The only reason I haven't is because I don't own a TX yet!
