Replacement screws for Treo 650 & 700 SmartPhones
The guy who first brought exact fit replacement screws for the Tungsten T, T2, & T3 to the web now makes available the same great service for your Treo 650 and 700 SmartPhones. Just US$5.95 for a package of five screws with free shipping and handling in the US and a small nominal charge elsewhere.

Are you just spamming the forums or is their really an issue with the Treo too? I've never heard of a Treo screw issue. Furthermore, none even are exposed on the device.
After the mighty T3 screws issue, I cannot imagine Palm letting that happen again. After 8,122,358,232,277,454 tech support calls, Palm probably came close to bankruptcy just paying the phone bills to it's Engrish speaking outsourced Tech Support in Asia.

Thanks for asking. First off, I have never spammed and do not consider myself a spammer. My goal in posting a single message here was to let users know that the service is available. In regards to the T3 issue, many who remember back that far will tell you that until I came along, there was no source for proper-fitting replacement screws.
As a seller of screws for the T, T2, and T3, I have recently had numerous requests for Treo screws as well. I agree it seems odd, but in most cases I think it is among people who swap a spare battery in and out and therefore are always opening the compartment and exposing loose screws to the possibility of falling out.
FWIW, I have a heavily used T3 which has never lost a single screw; neither has my Treo 700p, but of course it's fairly new.
And, as to Palm learning its lesson, well...

I will say that I'm glad Carmine posted here, and just in time, too. Last week, I discovered, upon opening my Treo to reset, that somehow not only had all the screws worked loose, but two had slipped by unnoticed and apparently fallen out a previous time I opened the cover--I only noticed because I caught one falling out that time, to make three!
I tried going to the tech services desk at a Verizon store, but they no longer have the screws--or even screwdrivers--there, and they told me to call Palm. I don't know if it's easy to get the screws from Palm or not, but in all honesty, it's worth the small amount Carmine is charging for the convenience of not having to deal with yet another customer support rep and the touchtone menu system to get to him/her in the first place.
As it happened, last night I was talking to another Treo owner at a show I was doing sound for, and he mentioned that he was on his second Treo, in bumping his first around, he'd lost a number of screws, and eventually lost keyboard functionality as a result!
I've dealt with Carmine before when I needed replacements for my T3 (which lived in a hard case, making the lost screws equally perplexing), and am glad to do business with him agian. I would never have known he had Treo screws if he hadn't posted here, and considering my hourly base rate for work, and how busy I am this week, trust me, the $6 he's asking is a bargain!

IMHO,
Palm has a very impressive form of customer care. Wait until a class action lawsuit hits you hard, and then fix it all...
We had it with soo many machines before...and I'll hold on to my orange screened Treo 600 just to send it in then the class action lawsuit goes through!

I just followed that link and purchased a set of screws for my TREO 650. I have searched the net and found them to be $30+. You sell them for less than $6 including shipping. I also like that they are flathead screws. I may be a dork for having bought something that I found in a forum, but I hope I don't get duped.

I have a Treo 650 and slowly but surely the screws began falling out (4 in all). Like the other guy mentioned I didn't even notice until one fell out on my lap while taking the battery door off.
Verizon told me I had to call a number and get a whole new phone ($50 with my insurance) which anyone will tell you is a crock.
One web search later I found this thread, and checked out the link and hopefully I'll have the needed screws in a few days.

I received my replacement screws last week - thanks Carmine - great service.
I have a Tapwave Zodiac 2 that I was looking for screws for so I tried both kinds that you sell (much cheaper than elsewhere!) and have found that your - Replacement Screws for Treo™ 600, 650, & 700 SmartPhones; Tungsten E - are a near perfect replacement for the stock Zodiac screws!
Excellent - Thanks!
