Changing the battery on a Clie 31

Can anyone please help me. My battery no longer holds much charge and I have just bought a new battery. The battery I have bought has a tiny plastic clip at the end of the wires attached to the battery. When I opened up my clie, the original battery seems to be welded in with no obvious fitting for this plastic clip. Can anyone give me any advice how to change the battery??

There would be a plastic plug in clip. I am now sure it is a Zire 31 that you have and it requires soldering skills to change the battery.
