Zodiac cable modification for charging

I don't suppose I'm the first to do this, but I successfully modified the Zodiac hotsync cable to allow for charging without the separate charger unit. I spliced in an additional USB plug into the short section of the hotsync cable that connects to the charge cable. So now I can opt either for charging via the original charger or for charging by plugging into a USB port (or USB power adapter/battery pack).

As always, perform any modifications at your own risk. I'm no electronics expert. Performing modifications can result in unforeseen negative results.

Kudos to you. I'm sure I seen this done by someone at Tapland. There are quite a few mods out there for the Zodiac.
