Good Teams With Oracle for Mobile Web Services

Good Technology has announced that it has teamed with Oracle Corporation to integrate the Oracle Application Server 10g with GoodAccess, an industry-standards-based platform for rapidly developing and deploying mobile applications. Good, a certified partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork will now offer its customers seamless access to Oracle's enterprise-class mobile web services and business applications.

Using GoodAccess and Oracle Application Server 10g, enterprises can quickly assemble and deploy wireless applications that embed automated mapping, driving directions, dispatching of field personnel, and other functions that enhance productivity in the field and on the road. Additional Oracle Application Server 10g mobile services such as event-based, location-based and time-based alerting allow Good customers to quickly compile wireless applications that provide proactive notifications and alerts that make field employees more responsive to customers, sales opportunities, and other time or location sensitive matters.

Mobilizing Custom Applications Built with Oracle Technology
In addition to leveraging the native web services exposed by Oracle Application Server 10g, GoodAccess can wirelessly call and transport application-specific web services built using Oracle JDeveloper across Good's AES encrypted, FIPs certified guaranteed delivery infrastructure. Using GoodAccess, customers can custom build applications and extend them rapidly and securely to mobile workers using Palm OS and Pocket PC smartphones.

Not necessarily, RIM is going to the Supreme Court over their patent infringments. I see a nice spanking comming their way quickly.

They will win their NTP patent case. Not that they don't deserve to lose, though. RIM tried to use their own sleazy patents a few years ago to stifle the competition. US patent laws are a joke.
