RE: Another ad
This isn't the first time you or someone else has posted a comment accusing us of runnings ads as news. Every time, several people respond saying that they disagree, this is the exact sort of information they want to know. Here's an example:

Maybe telling you what the general guidelines for posting product info will help. We only run articles on new products, new versions of major products, and big sales on major products. What makes a "major" product is a bit subjective but it is one that I judge a large percentage of Palm users would be interested in.
But if you disagree with what we're doing, don't just be negative, be positive. Tell us what we should be publishing instead.
If we run an article that isn't within our guidelines, it was a mistake. For example, Belkin said in a press release that the Visor travel cradle in this article was a new product. I'd never heard of it before so I believed them. It appears that their press release was a touch deceptive and the product was really only new _to them_. If I'd realized this at the time, I wouldn't have included it in the article. I can't keep in my head a complete list of every single Palm-related product so I sometimes miss things like this.
To set the record straight, I have never been paid to run anything as an article and I resent your accusation that I would that unethical. If this is truly the kind of people you believe we are, perhaps you would be better served by another Palm-related site.

RE: I like new product announcements
What magazine doesn't have product announcements, product reviews, etc.?
RE: Another ad
In PC World (yes, I'm still a subscriber. I kinda still like it!), they review various software and hardware from different manufacturers. They don't charge those corporations for these reviews, but they do it for the customer who is reading the magazine. The customer wants to hear about new stuff and sometimes hear about it in depth.
How is this PIC any different than that magazine? Shouldn't the PIC be allowed to offer reviews and news to its customers?
I for one have enjoyed, currently enjoy, and will continue to enjoy the service that Ed and Ryan give to us, the way it has been.

RE: Another ad
Despite Ed's comment that he doesn't receive payment for the news items, so what if he did? What site are you providing for free that provides useful information?
Ed, keep up the great work and I for one appreciate your efforts. I actually come here to find out about new products and new software so you're giving me exactly what I want.

I have had this since, oh, October or so as I recall. Bought it at CompUSA. What is so new about it?
