Treo is nice but the screen is WAY too small.
RE: Treo:
Um...because that would make the device bigger maybe?

How about you stop whining and let the market decide if Handspring has made the right compromises? If you want a bigger screen, get a VisorPhone. They're selling like hotcakes to people like you who demanded a large screen. What's that? You don't like the VisorPhone either? Too bad.
Build your own and show us how easy it is to please everyone.

When you find yourself in the company of a halfling and an ill-tempered Dragon, remember, you do not have to outrun the Dragon...you just have to outrun the halfling.

Question is, why can't handspring move to the SD card and have the springboard be a sleeve that connects through the SD slot? I know this isn't a perfect solution but it would at least give the majority of people who just want memory expansion a small handheld and those with springboards the ability to use them.

Maybe it'll have an SD slot? Maybe it'll be 320x320?
I'm definitely for either/both!
320x320 on that tiny screen would be kind of ridiculous though.. but at the same time, I'd like it lots. :)
If it doesn't have either/both, I think I'll prolly stick to whats I got

Ed- Why would a *PALM* rep bring a *Handspring* Treo?

Because the Treo runs the Palm OS, Palm's primary product. I thing many people have a skewed idea of the relationship between Palm and Handspring. There are so many strongly partisan comments posted here that some might get the idea that Palm and Handspring themselves are constantly at odds. Nothing could be be further from the truth. While they compete against each other, they also cooperate. I've never spoken to any employee from either company who didn't describe the relationship between the two as very friendly.

Treo is in Milan!
I am an italian Visor fan and i wanted to let you know that there are two Treo (one with Graffiti and one with keyboard) demoed at the SMAU expo in Milan. They are fully functional and there was really a lot of people at the Handspring booth. I personally had the chance to try it for 5 min and it is really great but the most impressive thing is the size, incredibly small.
I think this is the first real integrated usable product so far.
Ciao.
Max.
