Red Cross

I understood the Red Cross to say they didn't want any more money for their Disaster Relief Fund and folks should give money to other Red Cross funds.

Can I print out the Circuit City page and take it to my local store and get that price?

710/760 difference?

jayhawk88 @ 11/5/2001 9:42:09 AM #
OK, the 710c has an older version of Palm OS than the 760, but are there any other differences? Does the 710 also have that additional MP3 decoder chip the 760 has? Any others?

hardware of 710c and 760c are identical. the 4.1 rom has audio player 2.0 installed, which, on the 710c you previously had to install manually. :)

$300 n710c = n760c with $150 discount and a warranty

I.M. Anonymous @ 11/5/2001 1:50:28 PM #
Just an observation but it seems like a much more economical way to get a 760 and a full warranty. Seems like if your in the market for a 760 a $150 discount would make this worthwile.

Braunstein currency update

I.M. Anonymous @ 11/5/2001 2:11:06 PM #
I'm delighted that Braunstein offers this service, but can't make it work so far. On my Kyocera Smartphone, which uses WCAs without problem, I consistently get an insufficient memory error. This with about 800k free.

Currency alive again!

geekd @ 11/5/2001 3:39:39 PM #
The freeware Currency program made my trip to Europe this past summer SO much less hectic and enjoyable. It's great to see it back alive again. We were in Paris at the Lalique store and my wife wanted some jewelry. "Honey, how much is 700 francs?" Whipped out the Palm, and had an answer in seconds.

Between Currency and MetrO (a freeware subway navigation program) our trip was a breeze. And, after that, my wife saw the value of the Palm and no longer consindered it "just an expensive toy".

does 16mb upgrade so important for m50x???

tiger_bb @ 11/6/2001 3:04:12 AM #
what's your opinion? how about using your SD/MMC card with ms mount/pi-direct?

i think 16mb upgrade for palm v or iiic will be more marketable and useful.

True, until there is other cards you want to use in the slot and all you apps go away with the memory card you just pulled out. Watch for cards for Bluetooth, cameras, etc... I'm not holding my breath when they will show, but my hopes are high. :-)
