SD bluetooth card availability

I.M. Anonymous @ 2/26/2002 10:02:14 AM #
These are definitely coming off the virtual shelves in the UK; Expansys delivered mine this morning, and my only complaint is the 950Kb of drivers/apps the installation seems to have irreversibly installed on my m505.

What about Palm Reader Pro?

I.M. Anonymous @ 2/26/2002 10:15:56 AM #
Anyone know if Palm Reader Pro has also been updated? The download page still says "2.x.x", so I don't know if it's been updated. I suppose I could download and install it to see if the version number is different, but it would be nice if they'd actually post the version number.

Never mind... the download contains a changelog.txt file, which lists the current Palm Reader Pro as v2.0.6.

So what's the scoop, does 2.0.8 support the HE330, and if it does, how does one get the updated version without paying full price again?

Never mind, I answered my own questions. For those curious, 2.0.6 does support the HE330 in full screen mode. To download the current version, access your account on peanutpress.com.

Do you subscribe to their newsletter? It mentioned the two new versions (free & Pro) that just came out. HandEra support was one of the things I was waiting for - I'm happier now. ;)

Anyone have an evaluation of PalmReader Pro

I.M. Anonymous @ 2/27/2002 2:50:42 PM #
I am interested in the Fonts that are available for the pro as well as the free dictionary that's included.

Do the fonts look any good ?
Are they worth the price ?

Does the dictionary have a phenetic search ?
How fast is the dictionary ?
The franklin reader dictionary is very slow.

>> Do the fonts look any good ?
Some do, some don't. I use Utah MT Condensed 18 as my default font,
which is a narrower font than the standard one, so
more info can fit on the screen without much sacrificing
the readability. (I have a CLIE N760).

>> Are they worth the price ?
I thought so, because I read a lot on the Palm. Other apps
can use the fonts as well, if you install Fonthack 123.

>> Does the dictionary have a phenetic search ?
I don't think so, but I don't use the dictionary all that
much. It's vocabulary is extremely limited.

>> How fast is the dictionary ?
Decent, but certainly not instantaneous.

Is Palm Reader now faster?

I.M. Anonymous @ 2/28/2002 3:25:43 AM #
Just tried the new version. Seems to be faster/more responsive than v1.1.6. (I have an old Vx, with OS3.5.3 and Quickbits).

Anyone else notice this or am I just imagining it?
