You have a typo. This is NOT for the Tungsten|T it is for the Tungsten|W. At least that is what I read on the Palm Site.

Presumably it's an OS4.x issue.

SD Update crash my m515

Taka @ 12/18/2002 2:17:32 PM #
I installed SD update to m515. It crashed when I tried to launch Launcher X. Does anyone have the same problem?

I am using Launcher III with my 515 and no problems.

I initially found that it caused some problems with SilverScreen (apps run from the card required double tapping and weren't deleted on exit). However after removing the card and reinserting it appears to have cleared it up...

Perhaps it's causing problems with the caches these launchers use?

I ran the File update on my M505.
everything worked fine and I was able to use a 256 SD card with no trouble.

low pass filter

Does anyone know if the Aeoplayer people got around the 4Mhz low-pass filter problem? Their page boats of "CD quality audio", which is not possible if that issue has not been addressed.

No, they have not solved that problem yet, and its unlikely that there will be a solution for this until Palm releases an OS update for the Tungsten T.

Their product may output CD quality audio to the sound API in the Tungsten. It is not their problem that the Tungsten then ****s it up.

Yep.... sound quality definetly is not there.... but I don't think it's the program.

Speaking of which, as we are now past the middle of December - fast approaching the end of the year - has anyone heard news about the 'official' Palm .mp3 player from Real?

Assuming, of course, that the low pass filter will be addressed with the release of this player, the two issues are tied to one another.

I'm sure it'll switch to "fiscal year" if it's not by the 31st..... Real.... heavy sigh.....

Mapopolis Canadian subscribers

cbowers @ 12/18/2002 3:32:45 PM #
To date, I've only purchased the regional maps, and the above announced highway detail is for subscription service folks only.

As there's no demo maps available, can any Canadian (BC'ers even preferrably) subscribers comment on the new map coverage?
