SFPUG Meeting Thursday July 20

The San Francisco PalmPilot User Group is dedicated to connecting and supporting the San Francisco Bay Area users of the Palm OS based family of handheld computers.

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Our next meeting will be on July 20, at 7:00 pm.

We meet at Club-i, the incredible cyber-cafe in downtown San Francisco. The address is 850 Folsom Street, between 4th and 5th Streets. There's a parking lot across the street, and street parking is free after 6pm. Please see www.sfpug.org for maps and driving directions.

Our presenter will be Handwave. Jim Anderson will be demonstrating his latest Palm OS software, Action Pad. Action Pad is an enhanced Memo Pad for performing and organizing personal computations and for creating simple applications on Palm OS computers. Action Pad includes Palm keyboard support that enables creating and browsing memos without using the stylus.

Action Pad lets you do more on your organizer by creating 'live memos', where any memo text can be highlighted and evaluated. Action Pad includes device-resident development tools for HandScript, a simplified JavaScript scripting language.

Jim indicated that he intends to give a registration code to everyone who attends, as he did when he demonstrated Smoothy, Handwave's excellent smooth-scrolling document reader.

You can check out Handwave before the meeting by visiting: http://www.handwave.com

Also visiting will be J.D. Crouch, Co-Founder of PalmGear H.Q., one of the premier Palm OS software and information download sites.

Hope to see you Thursday!!
