Pushing Palm VII for the Enterprise

Palm and Broadbeam Corporation have announced an agreement through which Broadbeam will deliver wireless development tools for the Palm VII. The idea is to allow companies to quickly and easily extend their enterprise applications to the wireless world.

Dennis Burns, Director, Wireless Enterprise Solutions at Palm said, "Palm has a wireless solution focus on the enterprise and, along with its partners, will offer compelling vertical applications across many market segments including CRM, healthcare, fleet management/logistics, education, field service, and automotive."

The companies also announced a special promotion to jumpstart the development of wireless enterprise apps. All developers who register for the promotion before September 15 will receive half off Broadbeam's Developer Suite for the Palm VII handheld, special developer pricing for the Palm.Net service during the development phase, and several other benefits. In addition, the first five applications certified by Broadbeam will receive marketing and sales support from Broadbeam and Palm in the form of a free station in Broadbeam's Solution Pavilion at the Wireless IT show and exposure on Broadbeam's Web site, along with three months of free "SystemsGo! Develop" hosting service, a free Palm VII handheld and other rewards.
