Upgrade is Free

Turns out the upgrade from version 2.0 to Version 3.0 Standard is free; that gets you a few improvements. I went ahead and installed in on my Win2000 PC and it works fine. It's the Pro version that costs extra. Haven't decided yet if the extra features are worth $25.

I bought the Pro and could not be any happier. The new features are great. I use Outlook 2000 and to be able to have subfolders associated to Palm catagories is perfect. My notes are now organized the same on my Palm and Outlook, outlook shows subfolders. I can now have subfolders for my Contacts that allows me to split up work and family/Friends. Since my wife and I share our contacts in Outlook she does not have to sync up with all my business contacts too. I just share the subfolder with her and we are good to go. Also the archiving is awesome, it has all your todo's, calendar, and notes archived in the native outlook format, very easy to drag and drop back if need be.

The Pro software I have had not problems so far. Installed great and converted my Palm catagories into subfolders perfectly in Outlook.

Highly recommend it!!!!

Should've waited

I just bought a Visor Deluxe last month and I'm feeling disappointed with Handspring for the short lead-in time for the Platinum introduction. If I had known the new model would soon arrive, I would have waited and spent the extra $50. Maybe Handspring would rather move old inventory and generate current cash flow than wait for greater future revenues from happier, informed customers.
