Mibrary is currently developing an application that will allow Palm users to read both Microsoft's and Adobe's eBook formats and PDF files. No Doc? No biggie.

GrouchoMarx @ 2/18/2001 9:50:45 PM #
So what if it doesn't read DOC files? There are over a dozen programs out there that do, some for pay, some free. I already have several eBook readers on my Palm, in order to read the wide variety of proprietary (read: highly annoying) formats out there. One more proprietary reader that doesn't read DOC won't kill me. Meanwhile, however, it means that Microsoft's propretary format will now be available on the Palm. One more strike in favor of making the Palm the universal eBook reader for the masses.

Too many formats

yetanother @ 2/19/2001 1:42:57 PM #
This segmentation of the market-by file formats only makes usability and attraction low. If everyone needs to buy 7 readers for thier palm to read content then interest will waine and alternatives will be considered.
