Draw on Your Images with PhotoBase

ArcSoft has announced PhotoBase for Palm OS. This application lets users manage and manipulate digital images on their handheld. Users can select the draw feature to title or draw directly on their images using the stylus. They can also do color correcting. Of course, it allows zooming and collecting images into slide shows. It will cost $30 and be available in a few weeks.

Users can share photos via infrared beaming between devices.

PhotoBase is compatible with the desktop version of PhotoBase, but does not require a desktop component.

"Pictures have become as important and pervasive to communicating as email and the cellular phone," said Chris Bethell, director of marketing at ArcSoft. "ArcSoft PhotoBase for Palm OS is another example of how ArcSoft is leading the marketplace to build applications that enable widespread communication via the sharing of visual data."

PhotoBase?

Does the "desktop version of PhotoBase" go by a different name, or am I missing something on ArcSoft's site?
