N710C OS4.1 upgrade from SONY

OK. I spent the $50 since I am not a computer WIZ like many of you....They FedExed me a package which arrived in 2 days after I ordered the upgrade. The package has a oragami like cardboard like which you place your PDA into....I boxed the PDA up & sent back to Sony via FedEx (pre-paid=part of the $50) & received my PDA back within 48hrs (from the time I sent until I received it at my door). Everything worked out pretty good.
The upgarded PDA looks pretty good = especially the pictures = 320 x 320 with 65,000+ colors.

so who is planning to upgrade to 16mb ram?

it seems too expensive, the N610 is only $350, upgrade is 40% of the PDA cost!

So how much RAM does the N610 come with out of the box? 8 meg? Then for the equivalent of 40% of the initial cost, you're doubling the capacity... right?

Personally, I may do this eventually.

I'm planning on upgrading eventually, just waiting to get a technical issue worked out with my device to make sure it's a keeper.

Nah, no need. I am running apps off of the card and it works great for me.

Neat idea though. $200 is a lot of money. What I dont understand is easier to get into the clie than the Vx so why so much more?

I am just thinking that instead of upgrading to 16meg, why don't we just wait till T615 or something like that comes out so we have 16meg out of box?

Is there such an upgrade for the Vx?
