Enough with the ''and More''

I.M. Anonymous @ 4/8/2002 11:08:39 AM #
I'm tired of clicking through to see what the "and more" is only to find it's one measly little thing that could have just as easily been written in the title line. Are you trying to pump up your clickthroughs?

Why don't you start your own Palm Info website and keep your comments to yourself.

Ed does a fantastic job, if it wasn't for him and this site I wouldn't know what's going on in the Palm community. Why don't you try saying "Thank You" instead!

I hated that too. Had to load a new page to found there really were nothing intresting in the "more" part. But I've goten used to it. If you really think about it, aren't lots of new articles in your moring paper the same?

I am lost. But I am going to find myself. So if I return before I get back, please ask me to wait.

Yeah, I totally agree, just mention everything in the title.

You can go elsewhere trolls, what if he is trying to increase clicks ? He has to make a living, why do you think he has to make the best Palm related site for free? Do you work for free?...Go get a life, and PPC ;-)

The "and More" comes up because I try to limit the length of headlines to a single line. Generally, if there are more than 3 quickies, the last ones become "and More". In the future, if there is only one more, I'll include a real description for it. But if there are 5 or 6, this isn't possible. When the headline starts rivaling the size of the article, something has to be done.

I have to back Ed on this. He's got to draw the line somewhere, or else he's just going to end up printing entire articles on the front page. It's not such a bad thing.

Oh, and I just ordered a MemPlug SD/MMC, so I'm glad to hear they're bundling the updated software as a free upgrade. :)
