palmOne Posts Outlook Conduit Update
Monday, November 29, 2004 8:36:39 AM
palmOne support has issued a update for the MS Outlook synchronization conduit. The v1.02 update for windows resolves a couple of small issues.
This update fixes the following issues:
- Resolves an issue that may cause Contacts to not sync during a HotSync operation
- Fixes an issue with Calendar appointments displaying 1 hour later than expected when using Time Zones
The patch is intended for the palmOne Tungsten T3, E, T5; Zire 31, 72 and Treo 650. It also assumes you are running windows and syncing with Microsoft Outlook 98/2000/XP/2003.

I installed this and now I can't sync to Outlook at all. I'm running Outlook 2000SR-1 on Win2kSP4. The log just says that the sync fails for Calendar, Notes, Tasks and Contacts. Looks like I'm going to have to re-install the palm desktop.
I oughta know better by now.

Must...read...fine...print... This patch requires the 1.01 update to have been performed first.

Outlook 2003 and other Handhelds
Since then I never had any problems(except that I once lost my old Outlook XP base file in a sync process)..
