EarthLink to Sell Treo 650 at OfficeMax
EarthLink Wireless today announced a nationwide agreement with retailer OfficeMax, to distribute, market and sell the new EarthLink Wireless Treo 650 smartphone from palmOne.
Beginning June 7, the EarthLink Wireless Treo 650 smartphone will be available at OfficeMax stores across the country and will retail at $449 after mail-in rebate with EarthLink Wireless service plans. In addition, consumers will be able to purchase the device online at officemax.com beginning June 13.
All Treo 650 smartphones from EarthLink Wireless come pre-loaded with EarthLink's exclusive TotalAccess software, which is designed to deliver a range of personalized content, as well as server-side spamBlocker(SM) and Virus Blocker, which eliminate almost 100 percent of spam and protects the users' inbox from unwanted viruses. In addition, users can get fast and easy access to email, information and favorite features in a simple, integrated interface. Accessing EarthLink's Personal Start Page on the Internet enables users to set up customized content to be delivered wirelessly, such as news, stock prices, sports scores, weather, directions, maps and more.
The EarthLink Wireless Treo 650 smartphone, operates on the CDMA/1xRTT wireless network with nationwide coverage in the United States. Calling plans with free night and weekend minutes start at $39.95 per month, with unlimited email and Internet access for an additional $19.95 per month.

Treo: The saddest words I've read
*FINALLY*?!!? What did they send out there to begin with?!!?
(This is probably old news to those who've followed the Treo from the beginning.)
This puts Ed Colligan's grin at the Treo launch in NYC in a different light... and not a good one, either.
