Actually, i was more thinking in the line of Palm collaborating with Google with this new OS...

Palm + Google = I think thats a sight that will make Steve Jobs break a (drop of) sweat...

I hope though the Google OS will let them include a Garnett layer on it... that will be sweet

We won't find out til 11-ish today, maybe, if PALM is hitching onto those coattails.

This throws the old kabosh into PALM's plans a-GAIN, however, so WHATEVER decision PALM makes - probably dead silence... - will be a hard one.

Per the Google PR-fluff just released, PALM is =not= (overtly) part of it.

Someone should pointedly ask Andy Brown if....

...PALM is still working with WindRiver on PALM's Linux-based-new-OS or if that relationship ended with the Fooleo.

Well, the conference presentation and Q&A was pretty mundane - stupid audience member asked if PALM had any touchscreen devices, that was the ONLY audience question. moderator asked all the rest. Nothing interesting except Brown mentioned focus for carriers was addressing the top ten, etc, rather than sheer quantity of carriers.

And he included T-Mobile in that "carriers being addressed"...

[his only comment on the Google effort, paraphrased, was along the line of "We've seen it"]
