iambic Updates TinySheet

iambic has released TinySheet Version 5, a stand-alone, full-featured spreadsheet program for Palm OS handhelds and smartphones that delivers Excel-like functionality.

Tinysheet for Palm OSTinySheet Version 5 works with all Palm OS devices and has been optimized for the Treo smartphone. It now fits large spreadsheets in one screen, eliminating the need for doing a lot of scrolling. Version 5 is directly compatible CSV (comma separated values) formatted spreadsheets. Plus, it offers direct synchronization with Microsoft Excel worksheets on a Windows PC.

Other highlights include:

  • The user interface has been redesigned for ease-of-use.
  • It has 113 spreadsheet functions and comes with the illustrative spreadsheet charts and graphing charting capabilities of TinyChart.
  • It now supports SD Memory Cards. With TinySheet Version 5, users can synchronize workbooks directly to the memory card or move workbooks from the main memory to the memory card.
  • TinySheet now supports high resolution and extended portrait / landscape modes on Palm devices such as the Treo smartphone, Tungsten, TX, and Lifedrive.
  • Agendus Mail and TinySheet work well together. If the user has Version 5 of Agendus Mail, then sending and receiving Excel sheets is a snap.

TinySheet v5 is available now for $19.95. A demo trial version is also available.

I'll Pass

Hmm... pay a premium for a certain-to-be-buggy update of already buggy software?

I'll pass.

Iambic has fostered so much ill will that I'll be able to go ice skating in hell before I give them money.

Off topic, but it's a sad commentary that I can make the first post 25 hours after the article was posted. =(

Avoid iambic. Look for better solutions from honest companies...

iambic is an interesting company

their thoughts appear to be...
let's dump as many features as possible into our product, not worry about quality, and assume our customer is a complete idiot.

let's test for 3 seconds and then let our customer find our bugs for us.

let's think we are smarter than the world, and keep dumping lousy products on the world so we can make more money.

The company lost me when they took over datebk5.com domain.
They seem to do nothing more than prove they are the same company. If that's what they are, then fine, but I would never even try their demo based on their history.
