Treo Pro Arrives on Canada Bell

Treo Pro Bell CanadaAs foretold, the Palm Treo Pro made its debut today on Canada's Bell Mobility. The news is also notable as this marks the North American debut of the CDMA Treo Pro featuring EV-DO Rev. A network capabilities. The 3G-capable Treo Pro smartphone is now available to Bell Mobility clients for a limited-time price of $99.95 on a three-year contract.

"Treo Pro is a perfect fit for the busy business professional or casual user who needs on-the-go access to business tools or their personal email," said John Traynor, vice president, business products, Palm, Inc. "Treo Pro's capabilities, including Wi-Fi and GPS, ensure users can be highly responsive, available and productive with a powerful yet effortless mobile experience."

"By offering Treo Pro on the Bell Mobility network, we continue to provide Bell Mobility clients with a combination of the best smartphone technology and leading business and consumer data services," said Adel Bazerghi, Bell Mobility's senior vice president of Products. "Treo Pro meets and exceeds the needs of Bell Mobility clients who want access to their business tools."

At this time it is not clear if Bell's CDMA Treo Pro features the same hardware changes that have been rumored for the Sprint version, as it has not been posted to their website of yet.

...a technology product actually launched in Canada first !? It's no Pre, but it's refreshing to get a new device up here first, instead of 6 months to a year after everyone else.

Quo Vadis Sprint?

D Avis @ 3/2/2009 9:37:54 AM # Q
Sprint closed no stores with its recent huge firings, it gutted its support and testing departments. This does not bode well for any future release on Sprint.
