Hi.. I did a quick search over at PalmGear. I didn't find any freeware products, but found a few shareware ones can export to BMP (bitmap files). The reason you need DiddleEX in this example, is that the Palm OS stores data as database files. After you sync your Visor, you run DiddleEX against the Diddle Database file to extract and convert the picture you want from that database. Once it does that, it converts it to a .bmp file. So if you look for a drawing app that can export to bmp, then you can load the picture up on your Mac. Here is the search results for Poetry from PalmGear: RE: diddleware on a mac?I.M. thanks a lot for your response. will look into it further as per your advice. i've been searching for poetry writing programs and have come up with nothing so far. it seems memo will just have to do. after sifting through the tucows palm archives for hours, i am amazed at how this platform is so diverse. yet i wish there were more programs and more programmers. the $15-50 pricetags for commercial and shareware software programs to me seems ridiculous because of the platform and its limits. hopefully this changes. and the freeware selections continue to grow a gnu. I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of a poetry program. Maybe this webzine might help. http://www.jeffkirvin.com/writingonyourpalm/ All kinds of ideas on writing with a Palm (as oppose to Palm Reading I suppose). RE: diddleware on a mac?I.M. Anonymous @ 10/15/2000 5:44:35 PM #
thanks much for the writing resources.
will check it out. the movement for freeware ebooks on the site sounds very interesting.

hi. i'd like to use the diddle drawing
program on a handspring. is there
software that is needed for downloading
images from the palm os to the mac?
it seems there is, as on this artist's site
there is a dos program for windows, but
is this necessary? also, does anyone
know of a freeware poetry program?
