![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comments on: Franklin-Covey training info on m500 & m505I was at a Franklin-Covey store today and was shown an internal training memo regarding the announcement Monday of the two new devices. The memo described the features of each device (no different than the most recent reports), but provides independent verification of the specs and release dates. The sales person said they could take pre-orders, but did not have pricing. I guess for those willing to buy at any price.
Announce date: 3/19/01

I just pre-ordered over the phone from Palm - 1.800.881.7256 - and they told me that the m505 would ship the first week in April. Maybe Palm themselves are giving priority to people who are ordering over their site... or maybe they just lied to me. Either way - I ordered from them and this was what I was told.
wahoo

Just to let you know, Franklin Covey has a tendency to have a delayed availability date (it probably will get pushed even farther forward due to demand). I know because I work there. I'd been informing clients about the m505 since I learned of its existance in R&D because I knew it would be a hot commodity and I want people to be informed. On the memo, it said to "keep all information...confidential until its launch date on March 19, 2001". Wish they said that four months ago when I learned of the Vc/m505's development. Oops.

Hi
due to the fact that i am living in germany i am still hoping that PALM chose the 19th of march as a release date because CeBit is starting only 2 days later (which is the largest Computer Fare in the world...) At least they will show it there! Last year it was the IIIc which was in the stores just one day after the fare ended although there were rumours that they were runnibg short of color screens at that time... We will see!
