Comments on: Full Mac Version of WordSmith Released
Blue Nomad today introduced an updated version of WordSmith that includes full support for Macintosh users. The new version incorporates a bi-directional synchronization conduit that provides Macintosh users of WordSmith the ability to synchronize Rich Text Format files, such as those created by Microsoft Word, to and from their Palm Powered organizers. The new Macintosh conduit replaces the old WordSmith Mac OS document converter and provides generally the same features as the Windows version of WordSmith. WordSmith 1.12 is available for $30 but the new version with the Macintosh conduit is a free upgrade to all registered users.

Desktop Conversion
After conversion, I copy the converted files onto my CF card which plugs in via my PB's PCMCIA slot.
Next copy any other files I want to install into my TRGPro onto the CF.
Take the CF out and plug it into my TRGPro.
Use CFPro to copy the converted wordsmith files into RAM if they need to be edited. Otherwise, they can already be accessed by Wordsmith if they had been copied into an 'AutoCF-able' folder of the CF card.
Another quick alternative is to convert the files into wordsmith format. Plug my TRGPro to my PB via the hotsync port. Start up PalmBuddy with the hotsync button. Run PalmBuddy on my PB. Drag the wordsmith files into the palm window to copy them into my TRGPro's RAM. Much faster than hotsynching.
