It is to laugh!

I think it's a scream that Apple will be selling Palm devices in their stores, when Palm has been so unbelievably bad about supporting the Mac user base of Palm owners. While the Palm Desktop for Windoze gets updated at least once a year, the Mac version is still the same clunky re-hash of Claris Organizer that Palm bought and re-labled something like four years ago. Aside from USB support, there hasn't been a significant upgrade to the Mac software since it's initial release! It's still not even Y2K compliant in all its date handling, sheesh.

Palm REALLY needs to come out with a decent upgrade to the Mac version of Palm Desktop, and Apple needs to put pressure on them to do so. Maybe the store deal can give them some leverage, but I don't know.

The carbon version of Palm Desktop better be a much better application considering how loooong its taking them. They claim to be working on it but it doesn't take that long to carbonize a program.

Get it together Palm. they could at least release a public beta of the software so that the m505 users can sync under X.
