I bought my wife a visor prism for her birthday several months ago. She loves it and uses it everywhere including frequently in the kitchen. This sounds like a great item that some cooks will find very useful.

I can see where this could be very worthwhile. I use a few other programs religiously on my Palm when dining out, Pocket Vineyard and Pocket Gourmet, from another company, NeoHand. This could be great for when I'm at home and trying to figure out what to make.

For $40-$50 you can buy a REAL cookbook. One with pictures.
Gimme a break. The pocket recipes crap is a joke. What next? Pocket Pinball module: A Helping Hand for only $75.
Kinda limited in it's usefulness...

I like the idea of this app. However, 1) I don't own a visor and 2) I don't use Windows. They could have easily made this app work on any Palm OS handheld... but then they couldn't charge a ludicrous $40 for it. Just a wake-up call to developers: you can't make a $10 or $15 program worth 4 times as much money simply by putting it on a springboard.
Come to think of it, I'm so glad I didn't buy a Visor. Such a waste. Having your "recipes" module in... kinda goofy. Having companies try to swindle people by putting $10 apps on $50 cards. The apps rarely take up much space anyway, making it simpler to put in RAM. Well, now I feel much better about my HandEra 330!
this is dumb

Doesn't a handful of modules defeat the purpose of the mobile aspect of these devices? I certainly think so.
