A Reuters article out of China is reporting that PalmSource is in early discussions with Ningbo Bird, China's largest manufacturer of domestic cell phones.

Yeah, it's a rather myopic view that sees Tapwave as "the only other licensee of note" after Sony. I wouldn't be surprised if Kyocera and Samsung will each outsell Tapwave. Lenovo and GSL probably will, too, for that matter.
