RE: Hmm this seems like good news for PalmOne
But, I'm not sure PalmOne sees it's goals as necessarily getting to be able to get Cobalt out. PalmOne does not make it's living by having the latest OS, but by selling the most hardware at a cost as far as possible below the wholesale price. Palmsource is the one banking it's life on Cobalt. PalmOne has to survive whether it means Garnet, another OS or blasphemously even that stuff from the darkside. Being corporate fanboys for Palm OS may be cool, but could also sink the ship.
The mass markets that the Treo needs to reach could generally care less if it's POS, WMob, Linux or DOS for that matter. They want the features that makes the device into a powerful, trendy, attractive & effective tool. IMO, Palm OS is the ultimate, but I'm not the market.

Retailers read the rumour sites, too
It's somewhat ironic to me... the retailers see Treo 650 stories on rumour sites like TreoCentral and PalmInfocenter, advertise the Treo 650 for pre-order, and PalmInfocenter runs a story on it.
(If the retailers would like to refute this post, please do.)

Hmm this seems like good news for PalmOne
The world will end in 2006. Just as it was predicted in the bible along with the release of Microsoft Longhorn.... :p
