iTunes Treo Clie SyncA developer has released a free utility that allows users to sync iTunes playlists with Treo smartphones and Sony Clie handhelds. Mass Storage Synchronizer is an Windows-based iTunes Add-on. It enables users to use iTunes to manage their songs, and sync/update the songs to the device. It currently supports the RealPlayer and PocketTunes audio players.

Why only Clie and smartphones?

This would be a steller product if it had LifeDrive compatablity. Is there any indication there will be an update?

This app started out with just Clie support, the latest version added Treo's. I'm sure if you write the developer he would be encouraged to add support for more Palm OS devices.

If you can mount your Palm device as a usb drive you can sync it using Mass synchronizer. I use several different SD cards in my Zire 31 and have changed the bat file to sync with different playlists. I think Tea did a great job leaving it "open" by using a combination of Java and batch files.

This has been possible for Macs for some time now, and for more than just the Treo I beleive...

iTunes plug-in
Download MP3s to the handheld using the familiar iTunes interface.
