Comments on: Insant Messenging on Your Palm

Palm CEO Carl Yankowski said that instant messaging will be "the next killer application" for Palm users. Palm Inc. is developing technology that will allow "real-time" messages to be sent between Palm handhelds and between Palms and desktop computers. Its definitely worth checking out. I had an Omnisky system during the beta, and used this app a LOT - its still in development - and who knows what will happen if AOL knows of it - but definitely DL it and check it out!

Both AIM and ICQ exist for the Palm. ICQ's buggy as heck though.
Why do these exec types insist on trying to get us all worked up ove things we already have (instant messaging) or things we don't need (wince's "multimedia" comes to mind).
Are they stupid, or just assume we are?

So you are saying that because the Yahoo messenger works great, that means Palm Inc. isn't developing one? That seems to be your implication here.
