Comments on: Palm Opens New Store in Washington DC

Palm has opened a new retail location at Union Station, in Washington, D.C. The store will carry all the current Palm products including Treo smartphones, the Palm TX handheld, and LifeDrive mobile manager as well as many accessories and software programs.

And here now I can go visit one. AS a Philly native I was kinda miffed that I couldn't get to the Palm store in Philly International. But this one is more accessible. Time to go see what Palm's folks do in the District.

Palm has buckets of cash in the bank - which it receives from people buying lots of Treo's etc at prices higher than it costs Palm to make them... the math is pretty simple really... :)

26 stores is pretty impressive... I didnt realise there were that many!

palm is hardly a failing company... in fact, of late palm has been making amazing profits and so has more than enough spare cash to open a few retail stores.

...now if they'd put some of that "spare cash" into developing products to PUT into retail stores....
