Comments on: Kingston Announces Class 6 4GB miniSDHC Cards
Today’s release is notable for being the first class 6 miniSDHC card to date from any manufacturer. Prior to today’s announcement, even standard class 2 4 GB miniSDHC cards have been quite scarce and priced considerably higher than their fullsize SDHC brethren. Industry support still lags in regards to adding full SDHC compliance to most non-camera devices such as PCs, PMPs and printers. Nevertheless, this is a welcome step in the evolution of the mini and microSDHC formats and a sure sign that affordable 8 GB miniSDHC cards are forthcoming.

RE: Porsche
But, in reality, the speed is not really important on the Palm anyway. The extra speed is used for transferring large videos or audio using the USB2.0 card reader. Very seldom does the average user move such a large chunk of data on the Palm anyway. It is a significant difference in moving 4 DVD movies from the PC to my 8GB Class 6 (6mb/s) vs a 2mb/s rated card. Once on the Palm, it makes no difference because 99% of the usage is reading/streaming anyway.
So to use your VW / Porsche example, the VW is fine in the driveway for you. But, you forgot to account for your little brother, who likes to take your Porsche out at night on the town. In that way it makes a big difference. ;-)

I think I'll keep my $10 class 1 card thank you. Let me know when Palm can do Class 4 speeds.

Ever since my DUI I've had to leave my VW parked in the driveway. Yesterday I went and bought a Porche to leave parked in the driveway. Ever so much more satisfying.
So, in other words, the Porsche is your VW's mobile companion.
