A developer has released a new µTorrent mUI application that allows remote control of the µTorrent application via a mobile web interface. The open-source web app allows users of any mobile device to manage a PC's p2p torrent downloads via a simplified interface.

To use µTorrent mUI just visit utorrentmui.com with your mobile device and follow the intructions. Slyck News has published an overview of using the mobile uTorrent client with a Palm TX. via MobilityBeat

I can see the benefit of this; torrents have become my primary method of keeping up with new & favourite TV shows nowadays. it's always nice to be able to get home from work, grab a beer and have everthing ready to watch, as opposed to having to queue everything up and wait for it to drop in. occasionally i've used EZremote to grab torrents out of email, but this looks much better.

Now, if they can just make a version for Azureus...

what it really lacks is the option to add torrents straight from blazer/opera mini/netfront/Web Pro....
but i'm sure it's just a matter of time...

Thanks so much for mentioning the continual lack of any innovation by Palm in the jack department. A simple 3.5mm one on top (like Zire 72) would make those mandatory Treo licenses of Pocket Tunes truly useful. We are stuck with fiddling with BT A2DP hacks, carrying around (and losing) tiny 2.5mm-3.5mm adapters with our headsets, or buying expensive subpar 2.5mm compromises like these. I have good Sennheiser headsets, I'd like to plug them in and go... without risking destroying my $600 phone's headset jack with the leverage of an adapter...
