Comments on: Common Access Card System for Treo Smartphones Now Available

Palm today announced the availability of a Common Access Card (CAC) solution for Palm Treo smartphones running Windows Mobile 5.0 with Direct Push Technology. CACs are "smartcards" that contain both the owner's ID and authentication information that is used for signing emails and gaining access to secure websites. CACs are now standard-issue for military personnel and many government agencies.

Pretty cool technology, if you can get past their liberal use of the work CAC(k) ;-)
