I just wanted to convey that I'm never going to share or spam your email address! The policy is the same on PIC as well.

I've been in startups where we specifically put into our agreements that during any purchase or other acquisition of the company's assets that the e-mail addresses were not available as an asset. I left before it got bought so I don't know if it was successful. You can do just about -anything- in a contract as long as its at least close to legal.

which I find hard to believe. If the site/service gets sold for a billion bucks to another entity, then I certainly would assume that other entity would want those email addresses as well.
Most such sites say something like the above but have the caveat in some manner about being sold off.
