Comments on: New Treo 680/750 Extended Battery

Treo 680 extended batteryHot on the heels of Seidio's extended Treo 680/750 batteries comes a new option from Boxwave. Similar to the Seidio units, this 2400mAh lithium ion unit requires a (supplied) replacement battery door in order to fit the Treo properly. Currently, these replacement covers are only available in Graphite - bad news for both colored 680 and 750 owners, who will be stuck with mismatched colors. However, at $1 cheaper than the Seidio model, it's worth a look for bargain hunters.

The Electraspan Extended Battery is currently retailing for $48.95 from Boxwave. The companies site currently says they are in stock and shipping.

Same supplier out of the Orient, who found an easy way for the battery meter to work on a current battery originally designed for the 650. Boxwave just saw the raw 680/750 need + Seidio's profits and made a biz decision to jump for a little too.

Everybody and their brother knows that the hot seller is going to be a 680/750 OEM form factor battery with 16-1800mah that requires no rumpshaker. Apparently that one is going to take a little more serious development. Thus we wait.

It appears that they offer a model specifically for the 750 with a properly colored battery door after all:
