Intel, Microsoft Developing Native Windows Bluetooth Support
Besides adding native support for Bluetooth into Windows, the companies say they will develop a standard method for PC platforms to interface with Bluetooth. The companies said in a joint statement that they expect PC vendors to add that interface to their products.
"By working with Microsoft and major PC manufacturers to develop a detailed road map for native integration of the technology into the PC platform before it is available, we are helping to ensure the success of the Bluetooth technology," said Frank Spindler, vice president, Intel Architecture Group, and general manager, Mobile Platforms Group.
