A new market research report has been released that claims palmOne has now sold over 5 million handhelds to date in Europe. The report also claims palmOne now holds 38% market-share of the worldwide handheld market.
Details from the report were furnished from this article from the Inquirer. It claims it is the first handheld vendor to reach this milestone in Europe. The report goes on to mention that palmOne has shipped more than twice as many handhelds in Europe as its nearest competitor, HP. Thanks to Gaurav for the tip

Good work Palm. RE: First Post
Congratulations PalmOne! Now, give us OS 6 and a new T4 based on the T1/T2 form factor and pull the same good sales in the USA and Canada. RE: First Postpen_n_paper @ 12/5/2003 5:33:40 PM #
Palm is killing PPC although PPC ships in way more advertising.

Well this is nice, but I would like to see a breakdown of when the 5 million units were sold. That they've historically sold more in Europe (where PDAs have never been that popular) is less relevant than recent market share.
