I was participating in a charity hiking event in which we were to hike 100km (62miles) within 48 hours. It was a real challenge for me, but I still brought along my faithful companion, Palm Vx, just in case I need it somewhere somehow. Unfortunately I did not anticipate the heavy rain fall that hit us at 2/3 of the way. We were all soaked to the skin and forced to retire - with my beloved PDA drowned in my backpack.
Interestingly, all a sudden the unit became "water-proof" - once the water got in, it never leaks out! Look at the bubble floating inside the screen...
