Another Reason Not To Use Belt Pouches

I had half my brain in my Palm IIIx (the other half is the part that takes care of minor cnores such as breathing). I got a 3Com belt pouch for it. It was during a business trip, in the afternoon I suddenly discovered my beloved companion was gone. A search in my customer's office and in my hotel turned up nothing. I distinctly remembered having put it on in the morning!
Reconstructing the facts, I came to the conclusion that the clip had probably opened when I got in the cab, and the Palm had fallen off after I got off the cab (a call to the cab company and to Lost & Found, logically, turned up nothing).
