RE: War of Words
The Palm Infocenter is where you are now. Are you referring to the PalmStation, where there is in fact a big debate about a trojan horse disguised as a Liberty crack?

Ed,
didn't mean to cross any territorial lines. i thought that the readers here may not all be palmstation readers. there is a trojan.. if it is a real "trojan" or not is still being debated.. what ever it is, it can still jack up your palm. i wanted the readers here to be aware that there is a "patch" for liberty. and they should STAY AWAY from it. it may delete all apps, but will leave DB files. becareful .. you can read the details at the palmstation. once again.. to restate the obvious.. BE CAREFUL of what you download. may not be what it seems.

No I wasn't snapping at you. At least I wasn't trying to. Look carefully at your original post. You slipped up and put the wrong URL on it. Actually, Ryan and the guy who runs the PalmStation are on pretty good terms.

Palm V Future??
I sure hope that there is a Palm V device in this new, upcoming generation of devices. I use the original Palm V and love it, especially if it could be my cell phone too!!
Voicestream Wireless...
I.M. Anonymous @ 8/27/2000 9:35:52 AM #
I have a Palm IIIc, and got a Voicestream GSM phone (Nokia 5190) with data service (called Datastream) as well as the Global Pulse software/cable, and its working EXCELLENTLY. The phone was $65, the 300 minutes of phone service (LD and roaming included) for $39.95 and the Datastream service is $29.95 a month, UNLIMITED. This means that I am paying the same for what I used to for a wireless voice line, for the same minutes, but am now able to use data as well. Not a bad deal. Speed isnt as fast as stuff like Omnisky (its 9600 baud) but the coverage is WAY better, I can use it pretty much anywhere, whereas Omnisky was very limited in coverage...

Great, what type of connection are you using between your phone and your palm IIIc?
