I suppose if this was for a WinCE/PPC device and the news was on Birghthand that you'd be jumping for joy and espousing its virtues? feh

Useless, what are you talking about?!
It will be completely useful for people to futz with a mounted keyboard in their car. More work for EMTs and coroners, not to mention the morgue and towtruck services. RE: OH MY GOD!I.M. Anonymous @ 1/17/2001 6:19:08 PM #
FYI, the product is virtually impossible to use while driving, and is not intended,
nor promoted, for this purpose. Many fields of business require wireless laptop or dedicated terminal use while pulled over: Real estate, law enforcement, transportation, field sales or service - the bulk of our customer base. This need is not going away, and our products provide a very low cost alternative to these conventional solutions. Regards, RE: OH MY GOD!I.M. Anonymous @ 1/18/2001 3:32:59 AM #
I can see many uses for this and I'm not a sales man. You people are way too quick to judgement. It's much safer to glance over and look at an address, or quickly type the first couple of letters of an address you want to look it up while at a light, than to fumble with your stylus while driving with your knee, or missing the light turning green because you missed a grafitti stroke.
Think outside the box. RE: OH MY GOD!I.M. Anonymous @ 2/23/2001 1:08:52 PM #

Wow, it will even charge the Palm... As a sales person on the road all the time, this may be just what I am looking for - I will have to check it out.

I was told there is a Visor version that will be out in a few months.. if so I think I will be all over this!
RE: Visor Version
Yes, as it says in the article, "RoadWriter for the Handspring Visor and Palm V will be available in the upcoming months. "

Ok,OK!!! What is this?!
Why don't you make the "skateboard" device??? At most, it will sound cool. Please CREATE something too much useful than a keyboard for the Palm. Katarsis
