Palm Digital Media joins Simon & Schuster in bringing an excerpt of Stephen King's latest collection of short stories to pedestrians on the streets of Manhattan. Palm users can get a free excerpt from "Everything's Eventual" beamed to them from 100 kiosks set up on the sidewalks of midtown Manhattan. -Ed

There is an excerpt from Everything's Eventual on the Peanut Press website. I don't know if it is the same excerpt that is available to the Manhattanites. It is not in doc format but you could probably copy and convert it.

That's funny. Now I have this picture in my head of people in NY walking fast, PDAs in hand, and pointing them at these kiosks as they pass it by, not slowing down or stopping, trying to get the ebook beamed to them. "Darn... it didn't complete the download. Maybe at the next one." Encountering the next kiosk, PDA still pointed, not losing pace, "Darn! I still didn't get it! I really want that ebook!" Still walking fast to the next kiosk...
People of NY... slow down! Take time to smell the roses (and download that ebook)... otherwise "Fuhgedaboudit!" :)
